The sun and moon have been incorporated into the earliest art created by mankind; and for good reason, our very existence is dependant on the influences of the sun and moon and night and day.
In this fine jewelry artist rendition of the ancient art motif the designer has depicted the sun as a single golden droplet in 14k yellow gold. This is a demonstration of the sun as the giver of growth and renewal. The tip of the droplet is enhanced with an inset fine quality 3mm diamond as a representation of pure white light. The moon is depicted as a crescent which is the most commonly used moon icon throughout antiquity. The moon, hand cast in 14 white gold, emphasizes the cool silvery effect of the crescent moon against a cool dark winter sky as night and winter represent rest and renewal.
The two separate pieces of the two-toned 14k pendant are connected with a hand formed rivet so that they move separately from each other but yet are connected together as one complete unit as the universal sun and moon dance in cosmic unison and remain interconnected.
